How Reiki is Inducing Mind to Heal the Internal Wounds?

Reiki is a spiritual therapy which evolved in Japan in the seventeenth century. Through this method, the practitioner supposedly transfers the universal energy to patients through their palms. Reiki is derived from the compounding two Japanese words, “Rei” stands for Universal life and “Ki” is energy. Japanese believe it to be an effective method for healing their self. It is gaining the trust of people for attaining relief from physical, mental and emotional illness. Channelising energies to treat health issues continues from the past generations to the future in many forms.

Reiki healing is not proved scientifically, but people who underwent this procedure have drastic improvements in their health. There are several energy fields in our body which are targeted by these practitioners. Japanese believe the blockage of any energy flow can be a principal reason behind any emotional or physical illness.

This treatment method generally requires a quiet atmosphere but can be performed anywhere and everywhere. The patient is placed on a comfortable chair, and music is played according to their choice. Practitioners place their hands on specific parts of the body from two to five minutes. There are over twenty energy points in the human body, out of which few are on head, limbs and the torso-abdominal region.

If there is a specific burn or injury, then the hands are placed just above that. There is a transfer of energy from the professional’s hand to the client’s body, and during this process, the hands of the practitioner seem to be warm and have a tingling effect. There are different types of technique included in reiki such as centring, clearing, beaming, extracting harmful energies, infusing, smoothing and raking the aura. This therapy is beneficial in reducing stress and anxiety. People should not confuse themselves by considering a treatment method to any disease; it only activates the body to absorb other treatments and heal.
